July Flashback

Flashback with me two years ago to Summer 2010, when I released my first major patriotic themed kit, "Made in America".

During the month of July, "Made In America" and the coordinating "Awesome Blue Alpha" will both be 25% off!

And you can still download the original add-on freebie if you don't already have it:

Here are some of the new layouts the Britt Girls and I have scrapped using our July Flashback products:

I hope these layouts have inspired you to start scrapping your own "Made In America" layouts. Let's start this month's Flashback Challenge!

Create a layout using "Made In America" and/or "Awesome Blue Alpha" before July 31st, and post it in the Britt-ish Designs Challenge Gallery. Then come back to this post and paste a link to your layout in the comments. At the end of the month I'll do a random drawing for 1 winner of a $15 Gift Certificate to my shop. No matter when you purchased "Made In America" - today, last week or last year - just use it to create a layout and enter it to win!!

If you've never entered one of our Flashback Challenges, please read the "important note" at the end of last month's challenge regarding how to post and enter the challenge correctly.

One more note. I know some people have had trouble in the past with the gallery. But all problems were solved by simply trying another browser. My gallery and Internet Explorer don't get along. So, if you're having trouble seeing where to Register, Log In, Upload, or Comment - just try using a different browser (like Firefox, for example) and you shouldn't have any trouble.

And last but not least - it's time to find out who won last month's Ohana Flashback Challenge. The lucky randomly chosen winner was . . .

Sara (aka undertheseas) and her "Kona Cafe" layout

Congrats, Sara! I'll email you your $15 gift certificate today.

Well, its almost the 4th, so I hope you all have a very happy Independence Day with your friends and family.

(psst - click the word art above and then right click to save the .png to use on your own layouts.)

AND . . . HAPPY CANADA DAY to all my Canadian friends. My little brother is in Toronto right now on a mission for our church so we're having a very happy Canada Day here at home thinking of him. And tomorrow we'll be attending a little Canada Day parade in my brother's neighborhood (apparently there are lots of Canadians who live around there! haha!!) We're so excited!!

free challenge template

Just wanted to pop in and announce that I'm hosting a Template Challenge over at MouseScrappers and it starts today! You can pick up a free template, scrap it up purrrrdy and then post it for the rest of us to see!

(Click the template preview to go check out the challenge over at MouseScrappers.)

Here is the page I scrapped:

{credits here}

If this template looks familiar, its because I used my Father's Day Digi Dare layout to create it! (*Random sidenote: I printed that Father's Day page off and gave it to my Dad and he TOTALLY loved it. I even saw a few tears!! SUCCESS!)

Hope you enjoy the free template & that you'll scrap some Disney pics with it for the challenge. Can't wait to see your pages!

OH & don't forget to submit your Flashback Challenge entries! The deadline is tonight at midnight!!!

challenge reminder

Just popping in to remind everyone that there are just 5 more days to pick up "Ohana" at 25% off and to enter the June Flashback Challenge.

I've had 6 entries come in so far, so there is still a great chance to enter to win that $15 Gift Certificate!! Make sure to post your layout in the comments section of the challenge post (not this post).

Good luck & happy scrapping!

i'm a chevron-aholic

Hi, I'm Brittney and I'm a chevron-aholic. Yes, I've become a little obsessed. So I decided to make a couple all-chevron paper packs, so I can build up my chevron stash. Plus, due to popular demand, I've got some all-new Nothing But Photos templates!!

"Chevron Craze: High Contrast"

"Chevron Craze: Subtle"

"Nothing But Photos 2"

Here's what the Britt Girls and I scrapped with this new stuff:

And now, its time for another Show Off Slideshow. Enjoy:

Thank you so much to all those who showed off this week! You are all getting some exclusive chevron papers that aren't available in the shop - only for my Show Offs. Check your email inboxes for those. Next Show Off Slideshow & gift will be July 6, so get those layouts sent in!

And with that, I'll say good bye for today. Hope you all have lots of fun scrapping in your plans for this weekend. Either be out there making memories, or scrapping them! haha Have a good one.

Wordless Wednesday

I thought I'd pop in and post another Wordless Wednesday, although I'm not very good about the "wordless" part.

Don't you just think its amazing how we all have these little devices in our pockets at any given moment to whip out and capture whatever memory is happening? I think its just incredible. Here are just a few of my favorite iPhone pictures from Scarlett's first visit to Disneyland back in November 2011.

Focused on the Magic

With the phone photos, some obviously turn out better than others. But even those that aren't the best quality, still capture those fun little moments. Plus, you can share them instantly with friends and family while you are in the park (making them wildly jealous! haha!!)

Have a magical day!
