it's time

It's time, people! Time to start a digi-journal! I did one all year long back in 2007, and I regret not keeping up with it. That 2007 digi-journal is such a treasure. I wish I had three more volumes for the last three years. In fact, my digi-journal is what made me start this blog in the first place, way back in May of 2007! I wanted a place to post my weekly pages.

What's a digi-journal you ask, its just a way to keep a journal with a splash of digi-scrapping involved. Your pages can be as simple or as "stacked" as you want!! But unlike your average scrapbook layouts, the focus is on the journaling, what happened that week. Not so much on the photos. This year I think I'll lean more toward the simple style. Keep things easy and clean, but I still have to have a few layered elements probably. That's just my style.

Today I'm releasing a set of digi-journal templates, to help those of you who want to join my digi-journal journey, to get started. Some of you might remember, quite a while back, I released a set of these digi-journal templates, but they've been long-since retired. So here's a brand new, fresh set of digi-journal templates.

"Digi-Journal Templates 2 - 12x12"

And they also come in 8x10 size! My scrapbooks are all 12x12, but 8x10 is the size I do my digi-journal. When the year's complete, I make an 8x10 book through blurb.com. I like this size. It's very journaly to me. And 12x12 is much too much space for a week's worth of journaling.

"Digi-Journal Templates 2 - 8x10"

Same templates. Different size.

Here's my resolution page for 2011. I decided to use the new templates to record my resolution, and feelings about starting a digi-journal this year.

Also new in the shop today . . .

"Queen of the Castle"

"Queen of the Castle" is a fun little mini-kit that was previously a participation prize over at MouseScrappers, but now its in the store available for one and all.

I'm diligently trying to convert some of my Britt Girls into digi-journalers, just ask them! We'll see if any of them follow suit. But for now, look at the creative ways they used these new templates!!

OK, time to enjoy this week's Show Offs!!

All of my Show Offs this week are getting my new templates. I hope lots of you will get inspired and start a digi-journal. Thanks for sending in your work this week. It was so much fun to look at!

Psst! Would you like to Show Off and get free stuff too?? Well, read all about how it works at the bottom of THIS POST.

Hope you guys are all having a lovely holiday season! We have some fun plans to go out to dinner and then play games with family tonight! I'm excited!!! Can't wait to ring in the new year and get a big smooch from my hubby.

Sorry my posts have been few and far between lately. I've been busy busy busy! But all is well in the Leavitt household. We're happily welcoming 2011!

See ya next year. (cheesy, I know!)

wishing you . . .

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!! Josh & I are filled with thanks and joy this Christmas, and we really hope that our friends, family, customers, blog readers, ALL OF YOU, are having a wonderful Christmas time.

This is the card we sent out this year, and we'd like to share it with all our digital friends too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from our family to yours.

muppetized

** WARNING: Most random post ever! **

My friend Ash used this fun FAO Schwartz Muppet Maker to muppetize her whole family. I thought it looked like fun, so I turned Josh and I into Muppets too!

Whaddya think? I think we make pretty awesome Muppets!

We've had RAIN all weekend here in Utah, which is a bummer because it turns all our beautiful snow into SLUSH! But this morning I woke to big beautiful snowflakes falling again. The weather forecast says it won't last but I'll enjoy it for now!!

Have a happy Monday!

some winter goodies

Happy Holidays & Happy Friday!

I've got a very merry little element pack out today:

"Winter Goodies"

Here's what I scrapped:

And from the Britt Girls:

I hope you like them!!

It's that time again. Time for Show Offs. But before we get to the slideshow, let me make an announcement! I'll be taking next week off to enjoy the holidays to the fullest with my family. (Hopefully you'll be doing the same!) So there will be no new products or Show Offs next week. Feel free to send in your Show Offs all week long, but just know that there won't be a new Slideshow until New Years Eve.

Ok . . . on with the show!

Thanks to everyone who showed off. You'll all be getting my new "Winter Goodies" as your gift this week.

Would you like to Show Off and get free stuff too?? Well, read all about how it works at the bottom of THIS POST.

Again, there won't be a Show Off Slideshow next Friday, but you can still send in Show Offs. There just won't be any gifts or slideshows again until New Years Eve (12/31).

Have a wondeful weekend! Hope you have something fun planned. With all the holiday goings-on I'm sure everyone is just as busy as I am! I've got book club tonight, then a full day of working on the house on Saturday! Somewhere in there I've got to get my Christmas Cards out and make a dent in my gift wrapping!! So much to do!

TTFN!

i'm 30!

Today's my 30th birthday. I'm 30! And guess what, I don't even mind. I feel like I should be 30. It feels . . . just right.

Josh took the day off and we've had the best day doing NOTHING. He let me sleep way in. Then we just lazed around in bed all morning. We finally got up and got ourselves ready to go to lunch and a matinee of "Tangled". I LOVED IT!!!!! It's such a great movie. I'll post a full review when I get a chance. But EVERYONE should go see it in the theater. Take your kids, take your parents, take your teens. It's soooo good.

A couple weeks ago, my sweet little 2 year old niece saw Tangled, and she was so in love with it she had to tell me all about it. As she's telling me what she loved about it, in adorable 2 year old fashion, she accidentally told me some big spoilers. SO - if you haven't seen it, don't talk to any 2 year olds!! But it's ok, Ella. I forgive you. But only because you're 2, and you are just so darn cute.

In a few minutes we're going to go to Ikea. With renovations and Christmas, we don't have any money right now, but we have lots of things we PLAN to get there, so we're going to look at them and plan some more until we have the money to go back and buy them. After Ikea, Josh is taking me to my favorite restaraunt, Johnny Carinos. It's about 30-40 minutes from our house, so I don't get to go very often. I'm super excited.

So . . . HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Here's to being 30!

new christmas kit

Hi there!! Doesn't it feel funny having a new release a day early?! It does to me! But I'm excited it worked out this way, because now I don't have to wait any longer to show you my new kit!

AND . . .

"Christmas Tradition: More Words"

And, as usual, at the end of this post I have a nice little add-on freebie for ya!

Here's what I scrapped with the new releases!

And here's what the Britt Girls created:

Aren't the Britt Girls awesome?! They totally have me lovin' all the Christmas Tradition products even more.

Alrighty - let's enjoy those famous Show Offs!

Yes, I know. Show Offs are a day early! But don't panic, just send those Show Offs in by tonight at midnight and you'll still be added to the slideshow and get your gift on Monday. :) This week, the gift is "Christmas Tradition: More Words".

schedule change up this week

I'm headed to Phoenix this weekend to visit my cousin and take some family photos for her. I'm leaving tomorrow morning, so I'll be releasing my new kit TOMORROW!! Yes, a day early! Are you excited?!

Here's a little peek at what's coming TOMORROW!

Show Offs will also be a day early (TOMORROW), but if you get your LO in by Friday at midnight, I'll still add your LO to the Slideshow and send you your gift on Monday when I get back!!

So - new release tonight at midnight! Get EXCITED!

baby maya

This past Friday my brother and his wife had their 3rd daughter! Marci went into labor Thursday night so all night long we slept with one ear open waiting for the call to come to the hospital and meet baby Maya. But Maya let her parents and the rest of us sleep all night long and finally came at 7:05 am. As soon as we got the call, we jumped out of bed and hurried over to the hospital to see the new arrival!

Maya Kate 6 lbs. 10 oz.

This next photo was the face she was making while Josh was holding her. Is that not the cutest?!

Me & Maya. As I was holding her, our baby was kicking her!! They are totally going to be best friends and our baby was just saying hello. It was so funny!

She was so awake and alert! She just looked right at you when you held her. It was amazing.

Then the big sisters arrived. They were so excited to see their new baby!

My dad was a very proud Papa!

One big happy family!

As if we weren't excited enough, Maya's birth has made Josh and I even MORE excited for the arrival of our own little girl. We just can't wait!

i'm inspired by . . .

NATASHA!

Yes, I have a new release today and its a template pack totally inspired by one of my fabulous Britt Girls, Natasha.

"Inspired by Natasha Templates"

Here are Natasha's beautiful layouts that inspired the templates:

Here's what I scrapped with it:

And from the rest of my awesome Britt Girls:

Alrighty, time to enjoy the weekly Show Off Slideshow:

Thanks so so much to everyone who sent in their layouts this week. You're all getting a "second chance" gift! I'll be emailing you your choices later this morning, so get excited!

If you'd like to Show Off, read all about how to get started at this post.

Hope you all have a happy Friday and a great weekend. Josh and I are still spending our weekends (and any other spare minute we have the energy) renovating our living room and the baby's room. I can't really believe how long its taking us. But hopefully this weekend we'll make some serious progress.

Have a good one.
