September Disney Fan Photo-a-Day!

Hey guys!! I've got next month's list for the #disneyfanphotoaday! Who has been doing it with me? I love seeing everyone's photos! If you're not already following me on Instagram, my username is @designerbrittney. That's where I post my photos.

Now remember, while the list is Disney-inspired YOU CAN TOTALLY TAKE ANY TYPE OF PHOTOS WITH THESE PROMPTS. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE DISNEY RELATED!!!!!!!


Basically all you have to do is use the daily prompts to take a photo and share it anywhere you'd like - Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, your blog, etc. Wherever you like to share your photos and make sure to always tag your photos with #disneyfanphotoaday.

The point is to challenge yourself and have fun. So you missed a day (or a week or a month), who cares! Catch up if you want or just shoot today's word!

Think outside the box!!

I put all my shots from last month in a little collage . . . I think its fun seeing them all together. (I'm also planning to make little 4x4 prints and decorate a wall with them. Stay tuned for that project!)


Last month's photos went just as I hoped, fun and rewarding. Looking back at my month's photos makes me smile from ear to ear. I love capturing everyday moments, and this gives it a little extra "magic".

Lots of winners to announce from all the FUN FUN FUN we had celebrating my site's birthday this past weekend.

final celebration day - scavenger hunt!

Today is the final day of my birthday bash - which means the final day for the 30% off sale. I'll leave the grab bag in the shop til Thursday night. But after that its all going into the shop at regular price.

For our last day of celebration, I have a little "1-Day-to-Play Game"! It's a scavenger hunt and you HAVE TO PLAY TODAY. The game ends at midnight tonight!!! 1 winner will be randomly drawn and will win a kit of their choice off their wishlist!

Scraplift Challenge "Quick-Fire" Style

Ok - who loves Top Chef? I do! I do! Even though it makes me really hungry and slightly depressed over my own lack luster cuisine, I gotta say, that show is great!

This morning we're going to a "Quickfire Challenge". Now - unlike the chefs, you have more than 30 minutes!! In fact, you have until midnight tomorrow to complete your dish layout.

The challenge is to Scraplift a layout from the Britt Girls Gallery!! Last I checked there were nearl 1,200 layouts in that gallery to choose from.

Rules:

- Scraplift a layout from the Britt Girls Gallery
- Post your layout in the Britt-ish Designs Gallery
- Be sure to credit the original layout where you took your inspiration
- Come back and post a link to your layout here in this thread.

I will draw one lucky winner AND my Britt Girls will all vote and pick 1 favorite layout. Both winners will win 1 free kit of their choice off their Britt-ish Designs wishlist.

birthday bash speed scrap

Everyone who finishes ON TIME will get a prize. You HAVE to post your LO by 1:00 PM MST to get the prize. This is a TRUE speedy speed scrap!!! You gotta be quick to get the prize.


Once I have given all 7 instructions during the first hour - you then only have 1 MORE HOUR to complete your page.

The RULES:

* You have to use at least 1 Britt-ish Designs item (even a little staple will suffice).
* Follow the 7 instructions given during the 1st hour of the Speed Scrap.
* You have to post it to the Britt-ish Designs Speed Scrap Gallery before time is up!
* Come back to this post and paste your layout's gallery URL in the comments.
* Go back to the gallery and comment on lots of your fellow Speed Scrappers' creation.

If you follow the rules and have finished on time - you get the prize!

I'll be posting the 7 steps every 10 minutes starting at 11:00 MST here:

1) Pick an even number of photos.
2) Pick an even number of papers.
3) At least 1 of your papers needs to feature polka dots.
4) Add at least 1 flag, banner, or other pennant type item.
5) Add white strokes or white frames to ALL your photos.
6) Add some stitching and at least 1 FLAT ribbon.
7) Add your date in a "sneaky" place. Journaling is not required THIS TIME, but always encouraged.

I honestly cannot believe little brittishdesigns.com is already turning 2! The past two years have been momentous in my personal and professional life and I could not be where I am today if I didn't have all of your support. the daily digi

It cracked me up that Steph used "Don't Skimp" as the title to my feature page. She quoted me on my 'tip' but I have to say that "Don't Skimp" is probably a motto to not only my scrap asthetic, my design work, but also to my life!!! ha!! (having an aha moment here, Steph! thanks!!)
